The tablet was discovered by its model number online, the inconspicuous tablet does not even have a photo accompanying its sale on the site.
Rumored to have a resolution of 1280 x 1025, which would be one of the highest resolutions of any 7-inch Android slate yet, the smaller Thrive will share a lot of the same qualities as its 10-inch counterpart, including a NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor, a 2MP front-facing camera and a 5MP rear-facing camera. Additionally, the device is said to run Android Honeycomb 3.2 and support GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Weighing in at about .88 pounds and measuring about half an inch thick, the slim tablet will feature a miniUSB port, a microHDMI out and a micrSD slot, compared to the full-sized ports found on its bigger brother. The 7-inch Thrive will also sport the same textured, rubberized back as the original Thrive, and will also come equipped with a headphone jack and docking connector.
While Toshiba hasn’t announced the launch of this compact tablet, it is only a matter of time before this 7-inch slate starts appearing on more official channels.
